Shogo 2.2
In 2.2, your workspace is where your team and your agents work together. Everyone shares one chat, in Shogo or in the chat tool you already use. Every workspace is on every device. Agents in the workspace pick up what happens there and act for the right person.
One chat for your team and your agents
- Chat modes. Run workspace chat natively in Shogo, bridge it to Slack, Microsoft Teams, or Google Chat, or turn it off.
- Agents in your channels. @mention an agent to hand it work. Agents can hand work to each other in the same thread, with limits that stop runaway chains.
- Thread owners. A reply that doesn't @mention anyone goes back to the agent already working on the thread.
- DMs on your behalf. Agents can send a DM for you, clearly labeled as sent on your behalf.
- Automatic titles. New workspace chats get titles on their own.
A better place to talk
- Unread markers. A "New" line and a "N new messages" pill take you to the first unread message. "Mark unread" lets you come back to a message later.
- Message links. Copy a link to any message. Opening it jumps to that message, even in an old thread.
- Files and emoji. Paste or drag files into the composer. A full searchable emoji picker supports
:shortcodes:. - Channel management. Rename channels and edit their topics.
- Phone chat. A new edge-to-edge glass layout for chat on iOS, Android, and narrow web windows.
- Smoother replies. Queued messages and replies show up in the right place while an agent is responding, and streaming no longer lags.
Every workspace, on every device
- Cloud workspaces on desktop. Sign the desktop app in to Shogo Cloud and all of your cloud workspaces appear next to your local ones, live, with a Cloud badge.
- One Personal workspace. While you're signed in, your Personal workspace on desktop is the one you use on web and mobile, with the same projects and chats.
Workspaces that react
- Automations. A new Automations tab in Settings. Workspace events, like a member joining, a GitHub webhook, or a trigger from a connected app, can start an agent, a project, a code hook, or a signed webhook.
- New automation. Describe what you want in plain words and the workspace agent sets it up.
- Marketplace apps. Apps list what they need from your workspace, and you approve it before installing.
Agents act for the person who asked
- Per-integration choice. Decide whether agents use the project's account or the account of the person who asked, in chat or through an automation.
- Connect when needed. If that person hasn't connected an account yet, they get a link in the chat, and the conversation picks up again once they connect.
- Across agents. This carries across agent-to-agent calls. Only workspace admins and the project creator can change it.
Also in this release
- GitHub. Connect a project with a token or the GitHub App, push and pull, and switch branches from chat. Astro and Eleventy sites build and preview automatically.
- Live meeting transcripts. Transcripts stream in real time on desktop, web, the island, and mobile.
- Desktop. Fn push-to-talk dictation that types into any app, optional permission onboarding, a new Computer and files settings tab, buddy colors, and an animated login screen.
- IDE. Unsaved edits survive a reload, renames and deletes are safe, closing a modified tab asks to save, and search and Quick Open are faster.
Rolled up from 2.1
- The desktop island. An always-available surface at the top of your screen where you can chat with your agents, send prompts and attach files from any window.
- Shogo buddy. A customizable animated Shogo that lives in the island.
- Meetings. Personal-workspace meetings with on-device live transcription, on by default.
- A more reliable agent. When a model provider is overloaded or the network drops, the agent retries with backoff instead of failing the turn.
- No more "disk is full". Each cloud project now gets its own 20 GiB workspace disk.
Fixed
- Fixed an iOS crash at launch.
- Workspace runtimes no longer revert projects to the starter.
- Corrected billing usage and team member emails.
- The "Starting API server..." gate no longer hangs on stacks without a sidecar.
